1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Email, username, and password
- Your Content: The files and information you choose to give the Service, or that you permit the Service to access
- AI Interactions: Your conversations with the Service
- Usage Data: How you use our services and features accessed
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process your content using AI (see Section 2A below)
- Personalize your experience with the Service
- Send you technical notices and security alerts
- Respond to your comments and questions
2A. AI Processing of Your Content
The core functionality of Fryri requires automated AI processing of your content. When you give the Service a file, image, or message, or permit it to access information, processing it is how the Service responds to you and surfaces your own content back to you when it is relevant. We carry out the AI processing described below because it is necessary to provide the Service you have asked for, under our contract with you (our Terms of Service). Where the law of your country requires a different basis for any specific processing, we rely on that basis.
What we process:
- Content analysis: The files, images, and other content you give the Service are processed by AI models to extract features, identify patterns, and understand their content and context
- Pattern recognition: AI identifies recurring themes, subjects, and patterns across your content to build a personalized understanding of your information
- Personalization: The extracted data is used to personalize the Service's responses and make them relevant to you
- Chat processing: Your conversations with the Service are processed by language models to generate responses. Messages and related context may be sent to third-party AI providers (see Section 4)
How processing works:
- Content is analyzed by third-party AI models that extract features and metadata
- Extracted features are stored in our database and associated with your account
- Messages and related context may be sent to third-party AI language model providers to generate responses
- Processing happens automatically when you give the Service content or send messages
The AI processing described in this section is part of delivering the Service and is not a separate setting you can switch off while you use the Service, because it is how the Service works. You can stop this processing at any time by deleting your account.
Improving the Service. We also use anonymized or aggregated data derived from how the Service is used to operate, improve, and develop the Service and its features. We rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service for this purpose. Where the law gives you the right, you can object to this processing, and you can do so without closing your account.
3. Data Storage and Security
We use security measures intended to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit and hashing of stored passwords. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party AI Providers
To run the Service we share your data with third parties who process it on our behalf. These fall into the following categories:
- AI inference providers that generate responses and analyze your content
- Cloud hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers that run the Service and store your data
- Payment processors that handle subscriptions and billing
- Communications providers that send account and security emails
These providers may be located in countries other than your own, and each processes your data under its own terms and privacy policy. We may add, change, or remove providers at any time to improve quality, latency, cost, or reliability.
If you connect your own AI model provider key, the data sent to that provider is processed under your own account with them and governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy, not this Privacy Policy.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws (such as in California) define "sell" and "share" broadly to include certain uses of cookies and analytics for advertising; where those laws apply, you can manage or opt out of those technologies through the cookie consent banner. We may also share your information when required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for adults 18 years and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from users under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to close the account and delete the associated personal data.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes. When you delete your account, we remove your identifiable personal data within a reasonable period. However, anonymized or aggregated data derived from your usage may be retained for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. Residual copies of identifiable data may remain in backups, logs, or cached systems for a reasonable period following deletion. We may also retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. Where required by law, we take steps to ensure that transfers of your information are subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. Analytics
We use analytics services to understand how the Service is used in aggregate, which helps us identify bugs, improve performance, and prioritize features. Where your consent is required for analytics or similar technologies, we rely on the choices you make through the cookie consent banner.
11. Do Not Track Signals
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from web browsers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
13. Limitations of Liability
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, and subject to any rights you have under the laws of your country that cannot be excluded, our liability relating to your information is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Nothing in this Privacy Policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
